PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jonas Resina (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyler Durden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tyler Durden told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Resina walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Durden checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Resina shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Resina decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Resina feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Resina might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Durden working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Resina doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Resina manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Durden tries to improve his position but Resina has taken his back! Resina has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Durden tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Resina pushes Durden away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
