Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between curlo jacob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Caleb Cottrell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cottrell has chosen Honor by Atreyu as his entrance music. Caleb Cottrell will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, curlo jacob!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Caleb Cottrell!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from jacob.
jacob looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Cottrell throws a head kick that misses.

and Cottrell holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Cottrell tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Cottrell keeps control of jacob as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Despite being in the dominant position, Caleb Cottrell just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Cottrell instigates a clinch.
Cottrell throws a knee to the head but misses.
Cottrell throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but jacob blocks it with crossed arms.
jacob changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Cottrell fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Cottrell throws a lazy head kick
and jacob counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Cottrell throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
No luck for Cottrell with that takedown attempt.
Horrible takedown by Cottrell or perhaps it was just good defense by jacob which made him look bad.
Cottrell is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

jacob is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Cottrell is keeping busy.
Cottrell gets through jacob's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Caleb Cottrell showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Well Cottrell has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
