The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Activin misses with a double jab.
Laya fails with the takedown.
Activin throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Laya moves away from the strike by Activin.
George Activin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Activin stuffs the takedown attempt from Laya. Laya gets slowly back to his feet.
Laya avoids a punch combination nicely.
Activin misses with a double jab.
Activin takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Activin dips to his left and cracks Laya with an uppercut!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Laya shoots for a double leg takedown but Activin sprawls well. He's pushed Laya's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
George Activin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jumba Laya.
Laya misses with a takedown attempt - Activin sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Laya has taken the fight to the clinch.

Activin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Nice sprawl there from Activin as Laya shoots in.
Activin cracks Laya with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Laya tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Activin pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Laya is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
