PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Voracic Frank (ranked 2710 p4p, 4115 weight class) and Baby Hulk (ranked 327 p4p, 472 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Voracic Frank!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Baby Hulk!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Ron Honeybunn and Darius Henderson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frank takes a swing at Hulk's ribcage but misses.

Hulk closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hulk connects with a nice short shot to Frank's temple.

Frank looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Frank wants to control but Hulk is keeping busy.
Hulk really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Frank. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Frank wants to get back to full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hulk lands a nice short elbow.

Frank has his foot on Hulk's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hulk works his way back into a safe position though.
Hulk should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Hulk throws a strike but Frank rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Frank drops back looking for a leg! Hulk is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hulk manages to kick Frank off! Frank jumps back into Hulk's guard.

Hulk not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Frank thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Frank drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Frank seems to have locked his on tight now - Hulk screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Frank, as he picks up the win!

After winning the bout, Voracic Frank thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
