Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jani Korvakarva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Silver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silver misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Korvakarva swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Silver lands a head kick!

It looks like Jani Korvakarva has been cut.
Silver circles away from the clinch attempt.
Silver throws a head kick that Korvakarva semi-blocks.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Korvakarva takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Korvakarva could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Silver lands with a kick to the temple. Korvakarva shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

and Korvakarva counters with a nice double leg into side control. Silver won't be happy with that.

Korvakarva is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Silver knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Korvakarva looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Silver is avoiding damage well.
Silver is looking to reverse the position.
Silver gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Silver really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Korvakarva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Korvakarva is working for a kimura but Silver is defending it quite comfortably.

Silver kicks off Korvakarva and gets to his feet.

Korvakarva shoots in for a takedown but Silver shows good takedown defense.

Silver pushes Korvakarva up against the cage in a clinch.

Silver works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Silver lands a couple of elbows.
Silver postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Silver wanted to stand there but Korvakarva had control of the position.

Korvakarva has an active guard here but Silver has managed to pass into half guard.

Korvakarva is working an open guard so Silver takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Silver throws a nice head kick!
Korvakarva shoots in and drives through. Silver sprawls well.

Silver gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Silver breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Silver tries to clinch up but Korvakarva circles away and keeps his distance.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Silver moves in looking to clinch but Korvakarva pushes him off.
Korvakarva changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Silver tries to avoid it but Korvakarva manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Silver to the ground. Silver escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Silver throws a head kick that half lands.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Korvakarva looks for a takedown but Silver sprawls well.
Silver scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Silver closes the distance and clinches.

Silver breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Silver lands a high kick!
Korvakarva throws a body kick despite being completely out of range

and Silver counters with a head kick that drops Korvakarva!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Silver decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Korvakarva, up you get!
Oh Korvakarva is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Korvakarva seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Silver shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Korvakarva is backing up but Silver catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Korvakarva covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Silver Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
