PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roc Moss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and gorgeous George (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roc Moss!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, gorgeous George!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
George fails to land the takedown.
Moss looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
George tries to close the distance and clinch but Moss swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Nice sprawl there from Moss as George shoots in.
Moss scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

George gets a clinch.
Moss is trying to break the clinch but George has him pressed against the cage.
George lands a left hand that snaps the head of Moss backwards.
George controlling the action here for a moment.
Moss gets underhooks to prevent George's takedown attempt.
Roc Moss has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of gorgeous George.
Moss gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from George.
Moss tries to break the clinch but George is controlling the position.

George breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Moss swings for the body but George moves out of range.
Moss tries to clinch up but George circles away and keeps his distance.

George pushes Moss up against the cage in a clinch.

George keeps control of Moss as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Moss wants to get back to striking at distance but George won't allow it.
Moss using the Thai plumb to throw knees but George has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
George jumps guard but Moss stands there with George around his waist. George gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
The is referee keeping an eye on George - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

George's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
George throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Moss's waist but Moss gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing George off to one side.

Nice takedown defense from Moss. No joy for George on that attempt.
George fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
George takes a body punch but keeps moving.
George shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Moss as he avoids it easily.

Moss lands with a nice combination. George backs away looking to recover.
George pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
George fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Moss goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Moss steps to the side to avoid the strikes from George.
Moss gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

George darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Moss is staying active underneath George, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Moss is trying to stand up here but George is controlling him well.
Ground and pound from George.
Moss flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
George slows the pace down in half guard.

Moss manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Moss misses with a combination
and George counters with a stiff right hand.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

George has managed to clinch.
George tries to pull guard but Moss holds him up against the cage and eventually George drops back down to his feet.

Moss wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but George has him pressed against the cage.
Moss trying to land knees to the body.
Moss pushes off an throws an elbow but George leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

George breaks the clinch.
Moss closes this distance looking for a takedown but George circles away.

George shoots in but Moss avoids the takedown attempt easily.

A close round but gorgeous George will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


George tries a head kick but it misses.
Moss misses with an uppercut.
George shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Moss pinned against the cage. Moss gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
George goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
George punishes Moss's body with a nice straight punch.
George tries for a takedown but Moss circles away easily
and Moss counters with a left to the body.
Moss avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
George tries to clinch but Moss moves out of range.

Moss throws a combination that misses

and George counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Moss is looking to get back to is feet but George passes into side control.
George wants to control but Moss is keeping him busy.
Moss throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
George wants to stand but Moss is controlling his arm.
Moss is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Moss tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but George wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Moss is not content to let George control the position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Moss lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as George backs up against the cage.
George fails with a takedown attempt.
Roc Moss has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of gorgeous George.
George circles away from the clinch attempt

and George counters by moving into the clinch.

Moss breaks the clinch.
Moss misses with a hook.
George changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Moss tries to avoid it but George manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Moss to the ground. Moss escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

gorgeous George showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Moss's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


George will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
George changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Moss tries to avoid it but George manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Moss to the ground. Moss escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

George closes the distance and clinches up with Moss, looking for a takedown. George pushes Moss against the cage but Moss circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Moss wants to get up but he can't break George's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if George can do anything to dispel that myth.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Moss wants to clinch

and George counters by moving into the clinch.
George lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Roc Moss has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

George jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Moss walks away with a smile on his face. George gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
