The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akkaynak lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Wick is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Akkaynak looks to throw the jab but Wick is out of range.

Wick is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Akkaynak's half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Akkaynak manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Wick stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Akkaynak swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Akkaynak is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Akkaynak lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Wick is looking to escape.
Akkaynak looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Wick with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
