This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 36 wins and 10 losses; Ibbe Ribbler! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 25 wins and 16 losses; Prana Halo!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Emerson Jorge and Mauricio Rocha.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Halo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ribbler's waist but Ribbler gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Halo off to one side.
Prana Halo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ribbler shoots in looking for a takedown. Halo tries to sprawl out of it but Ribbler keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Halo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Halo changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
