Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luther shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts fighter as he jumps to the side.
Luther looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Luther shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with fighter but fighter pushes him off and we're back to square one.
fighter lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Luther moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
fighter throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Luther.
Some wild striking there from fighter.
Luther takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
A head kick lands from fighter that sends Luther to the canvas. Luther tries to scramble back to his feet but fighter brings him back down into side control.
It looks like Matteus Luther has been cut.

fighter's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
fighter connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Luther some visible discomfort.

Luther is looking to regain half guard here but fighter keeps moving and retains side control.
Luther seems a little lost for a moment, as fighter dominates the positioning.

Luther on the wrong end of a nice jab.

fighter must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

fighter is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Luther will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Despite being in the dominant position, mma fighter just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Luther defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from fighter.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
fighter tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

fighter lands with a kick to the temple. Luther shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
fighter misses with a double jab.
fighter stalks Luther and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Luther's face. Luther staggers backwards, shaken.
fighter catches Luther napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Luther to the canvas!
Oh Luther is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
fighter sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Luther seems to have got his legs back now.
Let's hope that fighter has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
fighter really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Luther. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
