And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Andre King!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Konstantin Menshow and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King loads up on a big right hand but Brown slips the punch.
King takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
King stuffs the takedown attempt from Brown. Brown gets slowly back to his feet.

King has Brown up against the cage in a clinch.
King scores with a shoulder strike.
Brown lands with a right to the head.
King misses with a knee strike.
Brown managing to block the knees to the body from King.
Brown tries to throw a body punch but King avoids it by throwing Brown back against the cage.
Brown misses with a punch on the inside.
King misses with a hook from the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brown lands with a short head shot on the inside.
King connects with a nasty looking knee right to Brown's face.

It looks like John Brown has been cut.
Brown blocks an uppercut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
King prevents a body shot from Brown.
King tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Brown avoids it.
King prevents a body shot from Brown.
Brown throws a head punch that misses.

Brown works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Brown wants to pass the guard but King is keeping the position.
King is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Brown working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of King's head.
Brown has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
King wants to sweep here but Brown controlling him for the moment.

King keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Brown is working for a submission of some sort.
Brown throwing shots but King is blocking nicely.

King tries to get to full guard but Brown has control of the leg.

Brown drops back looking for a leg! King is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and King manages to kick Brown off! Brown jumps back into King's guard.
King is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

King looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

King will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
King looking to control.
Brown might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
King is looking to stand up but Brown isn't so interested in that idea.
Brown throws a big right hand that misses.
King really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brown. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Brown works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Brown looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
King avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Brown.

Brown seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. King is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
