PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Alicia Blitzkrieg (ranked 24303 p4p, 23164 weight class) and Sophie Salvacion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Sophie Salvacion was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Blitzkrieg fails with the takedown

and Salvacion counters with a nice double leg into side control. Blitzkrieg won't be happy with that.

Salvacion decides to stand up, so the ref orders Blitzkrieg to his feet.
Salvacion tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Blitzkrieg swivels and escapes.
Blitzkrieg jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.

Blitzkrieg shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Salvacion manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Salvacion pushes Blitzkrieg off and gets back to his feet.

Salvacion fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Blitzkrieg sprawls well initially but Salvacion persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

And Salvacion responds with a good body kick, but Blitzkrieg manages to step out the way in time.

Blitzkrieg throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Salvacion's waist but Salvacion gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Blitzkrieg off to one side.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Sophie Salvacion is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Blitzkrieg's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Salvacion shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Blitzkrieg but Blitzkrieg pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Blitzkrieg quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
