Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between pete peterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and tony skins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

peterson scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
skins is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, peterson asserts his dominance and retains side control.
skins manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
peterson wants to stand up but skins is controlling the position.
peterson with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
peterson thows a huge punch but skins dodges it nicely.
peterson wants to lay and pray for a moment but skins keeps working.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

You can see the frustration on skins's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

skins is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
skins sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
peterson tries to pass the half guard into mount. skins knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
skins looks like he's trying to stand up.

peterson thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing skins to regain full guard.
skins tries to land a sweep but no joy.
peterson postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

peterson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

skins is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst peterson is controlling him.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
peterson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but skins moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
peterson tries to clinch there but skins circles away.
peterson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around skins's waist but skins gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing peterson off to one side.

skins controls from within his opponent's guard.
skins looking to sit in guard and control but peterson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
skins is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

skins had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. peterson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. skins Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take peterson's back instead.
skins wants to control the position but peterson frees himself and scrambles - skins manages to regain control in side control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
peterson is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked skins off and has taken his back!

That was a close second round but I would say that pete peterson will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

skins slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

skins feints and as peterson raises his hands in defense, skins changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
skins keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of peterson's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
peterson is trying to control the position but skins postures up.

skins stands up and waves to peterson to follow him.

skins decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

skins is trying to control the action in half guard but peterson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

peterson kicks skins off and gets back to his feet.
skins throws a series of strikes that have peterson backpedaling.
peterson tries for a takedown but skins circles away easily

and skins counters with a shoot takedown. peterson fights it but they end up in guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
