The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tessin avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Lovanov gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Lovanov fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Tessin has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Lovanov uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Tessin.

It looks like Randy Tessin has been cut.

Tessin tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Lovanov turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Lovanov manages to end up in side control.
Tessin wants to control but Lovanov postures up.
