The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Goldyn looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Goldyn stalling away here and it's allowed Serra to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Serra lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Serra drops back looking for a leg! Goldyn is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Goldyn manages to kick Serra off! Serra jumps back into Goldyn's guard.

Serra drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Serra jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Serra controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Goldyn really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Serra. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Serra passes Goldyn's left leg - he's now in half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Serra drops an elbow to the side of Goldyn's head.
Goldyn has a hand on Serra's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Serra takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Goldyn tries to improve his position but Serra has taken his back! Serra has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Goldyn tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Serra pushes Goldyn away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
