Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jerome Reece!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Diego Menezes!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Chad Campbell and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Menezes gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Menezes drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Reece gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Menezes wants a takedown.
Menezes makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Menezes pressing his opponent against the cage.
Reece is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Menezes to keep the fight standing.
Reece pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Reece connects with a solid leg kick.
Reece shoots in and drives through. Menezes sprawls well.
Reece throws a body shot but no joy.
Menezes shoots in for a takedown but Reece shows good takedown defense.
Reece half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Jerome Reece has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Diego Menezes.
Reece looks to land a body kick but Menezes moved away.
Reece throws a sloppy head kick and Menezes moves out of range easily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Menezes tries for a takedown but Reece sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Reece feints a jab and as Menezes dips his head, Reece unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Menezes right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Menezes falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Reece smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Jerome Reece!
