PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cat Dog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adolf Hasselhoff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adolf Hasselhoff told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Cat Dog!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Adolf Hasselhoff!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Viktor Lagutenko and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Dog or perhaps it was just good defense by Hasselhoff which made him look bad.
Hasselhoff swinging wilding here.
Dog throws a head kick that misses.
Dog moves out of range as Hasselhoff throws a body kick.
Dog really is a fat lump.
Hasselhoff avoids a kick to the body.
Dog looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Dog will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cat Dog. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dog throws a right hand that Hasselhoff ducks under and follows up with a left that Hasselhoff also avoids with ease.
A combination from Hasselhoff does no damage.
Hasselhoff avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Nice combo by Hasselhoff! Oh, that's hurt him - Dog falls to the canvas and Hasselhoff follows him into side control.


It looks like Cat Dog has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hasselhoff working away.
Dog is not content to let Hasselhoff control the position.
Dog tries to improve position but can't.

Hasselhoff wants to control but Dog is keeping him busy.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Dog wants to control but Hasselhoff postures up.
Hasselhoff slows the pace down.
Dog is trying to get back to half guard.
Dog is breathing heavily.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Hasselhoff lands a jab-cross combination.
Dog takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hasselhoff drops Dog with a left right combo! Hasselhoff follows him down to the ground into side control.


Dog is rocked!
Hasselhoff in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Oh Dog is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Dog seems to have got his legs back now.
Dog can't do much from the bottom here.
Hasselhoff is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Dog will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Hasselhoff looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
You can see the frustration on Dog's face as Hasselhoff controls the position.

Hasselhoff is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Dog is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Dog is looking for a sweep.
Dog wants to control but Hasselhoff postures up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Hasselhoff in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Let's hope that Hasselhoff has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
I looks like Hasselhoff might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Hasselhoff is looking to take a break and control but Dog is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Despite being in the dominant position, Adolf Hasselhoff just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Hasselhoff connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
No joy there for Hasselhoff, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hasselhoff ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Adolf Hasselhoff dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Cat Dog's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Hasselhoff clinches.

Hasselhoff breaks from the clinch.
Hasselhoff darts in and out, connecting with a jab.


Cat Dog's cut is getting worse.
Nice cross by Hasselhoff.
Hasselhoff misses with a double jab.
Dog shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hasselhoff as he jumps to the side.
Hasselhoff has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Hasselhoff.
Cat Dog is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hasselhoff throws a leg kick which misses Dog's front leg but catches the back leg as Dog tries to avoid it.
Hasselhoff throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hasselhoff keeps Dog at a distance using the push kick.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Hasselhoff.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Hasselhoff fails to land with a series of punches.

Hasselhoff closes the distance and pushes Dog back into the cage.
Hasselhoff lands a shoulder strike.
Dog's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Hasselhoff lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Hasselhoff escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hasselhoff keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Adolf Hasselhoff seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Dog drops his hands momentarily and Hasselhoff takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Hasselhoff drops Dog with a beautiful combination! Dog stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Hasselhoff is looking for the KO!


Dog is rocked!


Cat Dog's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hasselhoff explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Hasselhoff misses with a head kick.
Hasselhoff connects with a superb combination that knocks Dog out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Hasselhoff before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Dog!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Adolf Hasselhoff!
