Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between casey wright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Giovanni Rodriguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rodriguez has chosen Comprendes Mendez as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that casey wright has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily casey wright seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
wright fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
casey wright seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rodriguez looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

wright feints and as Rodriguez raises his hands in defense, wright changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
wright seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
wright wants to control from the top but Rodriguez keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

wright might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Rodriguez is working an open guard so wright takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
wright is looking to clinch.
wright tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rodriguez paws at him with a jab and circles away.

wright scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Rodriguez doesn't seem bothered though.
wright tries for a takedown but Rodriguez sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
No luck for wright with that takedown attempt.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rodriguez is trying to stand but he's just given wright his back.

wright sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Rodriguez taps out!
