These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Savage misses with a hook
and Picard counters with a left to the body.

letting Picard counter with a right hand.
Picard throws a hook but Savage avoids it easily.
Picard misses the jab.
Savage throws an overhand right that lands on Picard's shoulder, as Picard tries to avoid the shot.
Picard cracks Savage with a good jab.
Savage doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

An inside leg kick lands from Picard.
Picard ducks under a wild hook from Savage.
Picard jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Picard avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Picard lands a right hook to the body.
Savage on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

It seemed like Savage was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Savage cracks Picard with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Picard looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Savage finish him?
