The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garcia shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Rivera counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Rivera is standing up over Garcia. Garcia looks to escape but Rivera dives into side control.

Rivera is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Garcia is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Rivera passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Garcia!
Garcia has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Garcia is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Rivera off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Garcia has hold of Rivera's leg, trying to break free but it's let Rivera lock up a rear naked choke! This could be big trouble! Garcia is turning an unusual color here… he's out! Rivera throws him to one side and jumps onto the cage to celebrate with his fans.
