The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shebu fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Petrov swings for the body but Shebu moves out of range.
Petrov throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Petrov misses the jab.

Shebu fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Petrov, pushing him back against the cage.

Shebu has clasped his hands together around Petrov's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Petrov sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Petrov is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Shebu scores with a couple of nice shots.

Petrov has hold of Shebu's hands but Shebu slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Shebu is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Shebu lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Shebu lands a nice short elbow.

Shebu wants to free his trapped foot but Petrov is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Petrov is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Shebu is tapping! Great win for Petrov!
