Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Feder Emeleanenkis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Demetryos Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Feder Emeleanenkis is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Feder Emeleanenkis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Demetryos Rua!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Emeleanenkis shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Emeleanenkis tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Emeleanenkis wants to control the pace but Rua is squirming around nicely.
Emeleanenkis looking to control and managing it successfully.
Rua tries to hold on but Emeleanenkis postures up.

Emeleanenkis controlling the pace for now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Emeleanenkis looking to control but Rua is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Feder Emeleanenkis just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Rua misses with the combination.
Rua changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Emeleanenkis tries to avoid it but Rua manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Emeleanenkis to the ground. Emeleanenkis escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Rua looks to land a combination but Emeleanenkis avoids it well.

Emeleanenkis drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Emeleanenkis stands up and beckons Rua to his feet.

Emeleanenkis tries to clinch there but Rua circles away.
Feder Emeleanenkis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rua fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Emeleanenkis, pushing him back against the cage.
Emeleanenkis misses with a knee to the head.

Emeleanenkis decides to pull guard.
Rua trying to stand up but can't free himself from Emeleanenkis's guard.

Emeleanenkis kicks Rua off and gets to his feet.

Emeleanenkis clinches.
Emeleanenkis pushes off an throws an elbow but Rua leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Emeleanenkis wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Rua has him pressed against the cage.

Rua is trying to break the clinch but Emeleanenkis has him pressed against the cage.

Emeleanenkis is trying to trip Rua. He has hold of a leg but Rua is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Emeleanenkis persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Emeleanenkis loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Emeleanenkis is stalling in the full guard.
Rua is controlling Emeleanenkis's posture.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Emeleanenkis blocks a head kick by Rua.

Emeleanenkis closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Emeleanenkis thows a huge punch but Rua dodges it nicely.

Emeleanenkis gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Rua.
Rua jumps guard but Emeleanenkis stands there with Rua around his waist. Rua gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Rua lands a nice knee to the body.
Rua misses with a knee strike.
Emeleanenkis is pressed up against the cage. Rua has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Emeleanenkis down to the mat. Emeleanenkis avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Feder Emeleanenkis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Demetryos Rua.

Emeleanenkis clinches up with Rua and pushes him back against the cage.
Emeleanenkis tries to land a knee to the head but Rua blocks with his arms.
Emeleanenkis throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Rua blocks it with crossed arms.
Rua throws a knee to the head but misses.

Rua is working for takedown but Emeleanenkis is calmly controlling the position for now.
Rua misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Emeleanenkis.
Rua is breathing heavily.
Emeleanenkis using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Rua has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Rua lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Emeleanenkis or not.
Emeleanenkis pushes off an throws an elbow but Rua leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Emeleanenkis tries for a takedown. No joy.

Emeleanenkis has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Rua clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Rua covering up well and avoiding damage.
Emeleanenkis lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Rua is trying to break free.

Emeleanenkis somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.
Rua is trying to break free.
Rua is keeping busy.
Emeleanenkis avoiding Rua 's attempts to control his hands.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Emeleanenkis throwing damaging strikes from the back! Rua could be in trouble here!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Rua covering up well under a series of strikes from Emeleanenkis.
Emeleanenkis is looking to finish with some ground and pound!

Emeleanenkis is looking for the choke from the back position but Rua is controlling his hands well.
Emeleanenkis controlling the position well here. Rua rolled but Emeleanenkis kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Feder Emeleanenkis dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Rua throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Emeleanenkis darts in trying to clinch

and Rua counters with a nice double leg into side control. Emeleanenkis won't be happy with that.
Feder Emeleanenkis overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Emeleanenkis wants to get back to his feet but Rua drags him back down.
Emeleanenkis is trying to control Rua's posture but Rua avoids it.
Rua trying to control the action but Emeleanenkis is working from the bottom.
Emeleanenkis is looking to regain half guard here but Rua keeps moving and retains side control.

Rua scores with punches from side control.
Emeleanenkis managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Rua.
Emeleanenkis is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Rua stands up and beckons Emeleanenkis to his feet.
Rua takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Emeleanenkis moves into the clinch successfully.

Emeleanenkis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Emeleanenkis keeps Rua under control for a moment.
Emeleanenkis is looking for a sweep.

Rua tries to move into full mount but can't pass Emeleanenkis's legs.
Demetryos Rua has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Emeleanenkis regains half guard there - taking advantage of Rua's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

Emeleanenkis has one foot on Rua's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Emeleanenkis fails with an attempt to clinch.

Emeleanenkis scores a takedown into full mount!
Rua is squirming around, avoiding Emeleanenkis's attempts to control the action.
Emeleanenkis is stalling here but it's allowed Rua to get half guard.
Emeleanenkis scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Feder Emeleanenkis is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Rua looking for subs from the bottom but Emeleanenkis mounts him!

And that's the end of the fight!
Demetryos Rua comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Emeleanenkis has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
