Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Khabib Ferguson (ranked 1103 p4p, 1256 weight class) and Roman Ship (ranked 34 p4p, 43 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferguson on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Ship moves into the clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Ferguson fails to land.
Ship is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Ferguson to keep the fight standing.
Ship tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Ferguson smiles and moves away.
Ship connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Ship moves out of range as Ferguson strikes.
Ship throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Ferguson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Ship slips under a jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ship lands a lovely overhand right.
Ship shoots and misses
and Ferguson counters with a stiff right hand.

It looks like Roman Ship has been cut.
Khabib Ferguson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roman Ship.
Ship goes for a double leg but Ferguson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ferguson continues to drive forward.
Ship misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Ferguson.

Ferguson lands a jab to the nose.
A head kick misses from Ferguson.
Ship missing with a left hand there. Ferguson was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Ship cracks Ferguson with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
A looping hook to the body misses from Ship. Ferguson does a little dance to reset his feet.
Ferguson is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Ship throws a front kick aimed at Ferguson's knee but Ferguson avoids it well.
Ship displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ferguson throws out the jab.
Ferguson blocks a head kick by Ship.
Ferguson swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Ship misses with a lunging right hand
and Ferguson counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Ship shoots in for a takedown but Ferguson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Ship tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Ship darts in looking for a takedown but Ferguson gets double underhooks and turns Ship into the cage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ship postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Ferguson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Ship, into his guard.

Ship is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Ferguson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ship's guard.

Ferguson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Ship is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Ferguson pulls his head out easily.

Ferguson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ship doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Ferguson.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Khabib Ferguson will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Roman Ship's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Ship with a poor takedown
and Ferguson makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Ship tries for a takedown but Ferguson circles away easily
and Ship takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Ferguson misses with an uppercut. Ship saw that one coming.
Ferguson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ship can do to turn this around?

Ferguson explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Ship throws a body kick that misses
and Ferguson counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Ship out cold! What a finish! Ferguson is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Khabib Ferguson!
Khabib Ferguson tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
