Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fedor Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Genadij Zuganov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Vladimir Khabensky and Ivan Kurochkin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emelianenko connects with a solid leg kick.
Zuganov shoots for a double leg takedown but Emelianenko sprawls well. He's pushed Zuganov's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Emelianenko is looking to clinch but Zuganov is avoiding it.
Zuganov stuffs the takedown.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Zuganov.
Zuganov has knee on belly momentarily but Emelianenko bucks him off and regains half guard.
Emelianenko is trying to control but can't.
Zuganov throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Zuganov is thwarting Emelianenko's attempts to control the position.
Emelianenko regains full guard. Nicely done.
Emelianenko might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Emelianenko pushes Zuganov off and scrambles back to his feet.
Zuganov shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

so Emelianenko counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Zuganov tries to clinch but Emelianenko moves away

and Emelianenko counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Zuganov's guard now.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Emelianenko keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Zuganov's head.
Emelianenko stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Zuganov swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Emelianenko is breathing heavily.
Emelianenko wants to control from the top but Zuganov keeps moving.
Zuganov throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Zuganov wants to get back to his feet but Emelianenko is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Emelianenko is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Emelianenko closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Emelianenko decides to stand and escape the position.

Zuganov works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Zuganov reaches up to try and control the position but Emelianenko seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Zuganov rolls and tries to escape and now Emelianenko has his back!

Zuganov just trying to survive but Emelianenko is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Zuganov is looking to stand back up but Emelianenko counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Zuganov.

Emelianenko wants to control but Zuganov is keeping him busy.
Zuganov tries to get to full guard but Emelianenko has control of the leg.

Emelianenko has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Emelianenko stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Emelianenko tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Zuganov swivels and escapes.

Zuganov shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Zuganov showed some decent athleticism there.
Zuganov tries to stand and escape but Emelianenko is controlling the position.

Zuganov is looking to advance position but Emelianenko has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Emelianenko is riding his opponent, not letting Zuganov buck him off.
Zuganov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Emelianenko. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Zuganov is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Zuganov is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Zuganov is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Zuganov is covering up but some of the strikes from Emelianenko are getting through and doing damage.

Emelianenko has his arm under Zuganov's chin here. Game over son! Emelianenko squeezes tightly and Zuganov is forced to tap out!
