Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Dmitri Zaitsev (ranked 5257 p4p, 2751 weight class) and Daniel Dimitrov (ranked 163 p4p, 28 weight class). Dimitrov has chosen Drake - Energy as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. On his way into the ring it seems that Dmitri Zaitsev has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Dmitri Zaitsev seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 25 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dmitri Zaitsev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 32 - 18 - 0, fighting out of New York, Daniel Dimitrov!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Fedor Mirinova and Konstantin Menshow.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dimitrov throws a series of strikes that have Zaitsev backpedaling.
Zaitsev throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Zaitsev fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Dimitrov is out of range.

Dimitrov scores with a jab and follows up with an uppercut that drops Zaitsev to his knees! He bounces straight back to his feet but is forced to take the mandatory standing 8 count before he's allowed to continue. We're back under way and the fighters meet in the middle of the canvas to re-engage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dimitrov takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

It looks like Daniel Dimitrov has been cut.
Zaitsev swings widly with a right hand

and Dimitrov counters with a really nice, stiff jab that drops Zaitsev onto his ass. He'll have to take the mandatory count from the referee but he's back on his feet and he seems OK to continue.
Zaitsev looks to score with a jab to the body but Dimitrov is just out of range.
Dimitrov throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Zaitsev ducks under a wild hook from Dimitrov.
Dmitri Zaitsev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zaitsev throws a shot from downtown. Dimitrov moves away and avoids it.
Despite the aggression on Dimitrov's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Zaitsev lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Zaitsev tries to land a front kick but Dimitrov steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Dimitrov throws a counter combo.
Zaitsev walks into a straight right hand from Dimitrov.
Nice defenses there by Dimitrov.
Zaitsev throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Dimitrov sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Zaitsev throws a low kick but Dimitrov moves out of range easily.

Dimitrov swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Zaitsev was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
A looping hook to the body misses from Zaitsev. Dimitrov does a little dance to reset his feet.
A little jabbing left from Dimitrov on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
A swing and a miss from Zaitsev.
Dimitrov throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Zaitsev counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Dimitrov thinking.
Nice body kick from Zaitsev.
Dimitrov looks winded!
Zaitsev throws a head kick but Dimitrov moves out of range.
Zaitsev connects with a body shot that sends Dimitrov's belly button to the back.
Zaitsev is looking to slow Dimitrov down with leg kicks.
Zaitsev fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dimitrov manages to avoid it.
Zaitsev pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Zaitsev throws a hook but Dimitrov blocks it.
Dimitrov lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Zaitsev backs up against the ropes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Zaitsev throws a right and a left that both miss.
Zaitsev takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Dimitrov lands with a right hand.
Dimitrov scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Zaitsev doesn't seem bothered though.
Dimitrov uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Daniel Dimitrov is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Dimitrov slips under a jab from Zaitsev.
Dimitrov appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Zaitsev definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Zaitsev get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Zaitsev stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the ropes but Dimitrov runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!

Daniel Dimitrov was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
