Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sarah Northcote (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Helen Davies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Alexandre Firmino and Seu Braga.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davies moves in looking to clinch but Northcote pushes him off.

Davies closes the distance and clinches.
Northcote changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Davies fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Davies stuffs the takedown attempt from Northcote. Northcote gets slowly back to his feet.
Northcote throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Davies's waist but Davies gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Northcote off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sarah Northcote. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Horrible takedown by Northcote or perhaps it was just good defense by Davies which made him look bad.

Davies clinches up with Northcote and pushes him back against the cage.
Northcote is pressed up against the cage. Davies has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Northcote down to the mat. Northcote avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - Davies looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Sarah Northcote seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Northcote tries for a takedown but Davies manages to get underhooks.

Davies throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Northcote blocks it with crossed arms.

Davies really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Northcote. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Davies pulls Northcote in close to prevent any damage.
Northcote wants to control from the top but Davies keeps moving.

Davies scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Northcote fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Northcote shoots in for a takedown but Davies shows good takedown defense.

Northcote is bucking up trying to escape but Davies cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Davies wants to control the pace but Northcote is squirming around nicely.

Northcote tries to lock up and control but Davies gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Davies postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Northcote looks a forlorn figure.
Northcote is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Davies trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Davies is landing with some decent strikes but Northcote is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Northcote is desperately trying to improve his position but Davies has a good base and remains in mount.
Northcote wants to control but Davies is having none of it.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Northcote is in a horrible position here. Davies smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

and Davies counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Northcote's guard now.
Northcote wants to sweep here but Davies controlling him for the moment.

Northcote escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Davies gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Northcote is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Davies has his hands clasped together but Northcote extends an breaks Davies's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Northcote.
