Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Badel is looking to clinch but McSlipster is avoiding it.
Badel tries to bum rush McSlipster with a series of wild strikes but McSlipster uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Badel is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Badel looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Badel shoots in and drives through. McSlipster sprawls well.
Badel tries to close the distance and clinch up but McSlipster swats him away and circles back towards the center.

McSlipster changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Badel looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

McSlipster wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Badel, who protects the arm well.
Badel tries to bench press McSlipster off him but McSlipster keeps the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Badel prevents McSlipster from improving position.

McSlipster decides to take the fight back to the feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Badel tries to clinch but McSlipster is having none of it.
McSlipster has his takedown stuffed

and Badel counters by clinching up.
Badel lands a left hand that snaps the head of McSlipster backwards.
Badel stalling.
McSlipster tries to break the clinch but Badel is controlling the position.
McSlipster avoids a wild elbow strike from Badel.
Badel keeps control of McSlipster as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

McSlipster's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
McSlipster fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Badel scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
McSlipster managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Badel.
McSlipster is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Badel's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
McSlipster regains full guard. Nicely done.

Badel wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of McSlipster's closed guard. He's half up but McSlipster has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! McSlipster pivots and extends the arm, Badel falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by McSlipster! Well done that man!
