Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kimmy Tune (ranked 3550 p4p, 5885 weight class) and Danny ONeill (ranked 463 p4p, 586 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kimmy Tune!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Danny ONeill!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tune is trying hard to land a takedown here. ONeill sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Tune throws a hook to the side of ONeill's head but ONeill sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
ONeill blocks a head kick by Tune.

Tune closes the distance and pushes ONeill back into the cage.
Tune tries to score a body lock takedown but ONeill shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
ONeill prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kimmy Tune. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Tune manages to pull guard.

ONeill stands up and waves to Tune to follow him.
ONeill misses with the combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

ONeill cracks Tune with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Tune tries to clinch but ONeill is having none of it.
Tune shoots in looking for a takedown. ONeill tries to sprawl out of it but Tune keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. ONeill manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Tune closes the distance and clinches up with ONeill, looking for a takedown. Tune pushes ONeill against the cage but ONeill circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
ONeill throws a right hand that Tune ducks under and follows up with a left that Tune also avoids with ease.
Tune fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
It seemed like ONeill was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Tune throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around ONeill's waist but ONeill gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tune off to one side.
Tune swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Tune tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
ONeill wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Tune takes a body punch but keeps moving.
ONeill misses with a wild combination.

ONeill just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromTune.
Tune tries to clinch but ONeill moves out of range.
ONeill unleashes a big counter combination but Tune bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
ONeill has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Tune is landing a low percentage of strikes.
ONeill cracks a nice hook into Tune's ribs.
ONeill moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Tune moves out of range as ONeill strikes.
ONeill keeps the fight on the outside.

ONeill leaves Tune with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Tune wants the takedown. ONeill is fighting it off but Tune persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in ONeill's guard against the cage.
ONeill is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Tune is controlling him.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tune accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Tune is in close to ONeill's body, working some short punches and elbows.
ONeill keeping moving, preventing Tune from controlling successfully.
ONeill wants to get back to his feet but Tune is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Tune drops back looking for a leg! ONeill is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and ONeill manages to kick Tune off! Tune jumps back into ONeill's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tune won't allow ONeill to get back to his feet.

ONeill really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tune. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Tune dives in and grabs ONeill's left leg, looking for a takedown. ONeill pushes down on Tune's head and hops out.
Kimmy Tune is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Tune takes a swing at ONeill's ribcage but misses.
A little jabbing left from ONeill on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Tune throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. ONeill tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Tune is in ONeill's guard.
Tune is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
ONeill wants to stand up but Tune is controlling him.
Tune engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

ONeill shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Tune eats them both and turns towards ONeill to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
