The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Billy tries to bum rush Liger with a series of wild strikes but Liger uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Billy Billy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Billy wants to get back to his feet but Liger passes into half guard.

Liger is taking a breather. Billy says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Billy has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Liger is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Billy.
