Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Miguel Chimaev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Soldado Raso!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Radbod Blank and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Raso shoots in but no luck this time.
Raso misses with a few strikes there.
Chimaev changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Raso tries to close the distance and clinch but Chimaev swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Raso gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Raso stops a takedown attempt from Chimaev.

Raso breaks from the clinch.
Chimaev is looking to clinch.
Raso fails with a takedown attempt.

Chimaev decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Raso has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Chimaev is on him like a limpet, forcing Raso back against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Chimaev has clasped his hands together around Raso's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Raso wants to get back to his feet but Chimaev is dominant here and he's now got Raso's back!
Chimaev is landing with strikes. Raso can't take much more of this.
Chimaev lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Chimaev punishes Raso with strikes from the back mount.
Chimaev lands a shot to the body.
Chimaev scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Raso is looking for a way out.

Raso is covering up but some of the strikes from Chimaev are getting through and doing damage.
Chimaev throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Raso!
Chimaev has the hooks in. Raso is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Chimaev connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Raso to escape the position.
Raso tries to escape but Chimaev has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Raso looks winded!
I would not like to be Raso right now.
Chimaev has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Chimaev lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Chimaev.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Raso trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.

Chimaev has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Raso.
Chimaev has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Oooh a big shot gets through from Chimaev. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
Chimaev slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Chimaev cracks Raso with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Raso from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.

Chimaev's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
