PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ostensibly Magnificent (ranked 2169 p4p, 4821 weight class) and Morty Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 605 weight class). Magnificent kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Magically Delicious. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magnificent jabs Turner to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Turner takes one to the chin there.
Ostensibly Magnificent seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

It looks like Morty Turner has been cut.
Magnificent lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Turner at a distance.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Turner has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Magnificent steps into range and cracks Turner with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Turner flops backwards and Magnificent dives into his guard looking to finish!

Turner really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Magnificent. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Turner takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Magnificent looks up at the clock and then as Turner takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Magnificent smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Magnificent remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Ostensibly Magnificent decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
