Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chad Davis (ranked 24281 p4p, 23451 weight class) and Steve Norton (ranked 647 p4p, 650 weight class). Norton has chosen Notice Me as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Norton.
Norton is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Davis with a body shot.
Davis swinging wildly here.
A combination from Davis does no damage.
Norton dodges the punch combination from Davis.
A head kick misses from Davis.
Norton takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Davis is breathing heavily.
Norton fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Davis.

Norton instigates a clinch.
A bit of stalling here from Norton.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Norton ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Norton no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Davis trying to control but Norton is working from the bottom.
Norton looking for a sweep. Not yet Norton, not yet.

Norton uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Norton dives in and grabs Davis's left leg, looking for a takedown. Davis pushes down on Norton's head and hops out.

Norton fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Davis, pushing him back against the cage.

Norton's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
A head kick misses from Davis.

Davis gets tackled into the cage by Norton. Norton maintains the clinch.

Norton manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Norton wants to sweep here but Davis controlling him for the moment.
Norton told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Norton is still trying to improve position.
Norton lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Norton not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Norton gets to his feet - Davis follows without any prompting.

Norton gets to his feet. Davis looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Norton throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Davis looks up at the clock. Bad move! Norton lands a right hand from hell, dropping Davis. Norton pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
