PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ada Wong (ranked 25243 p4p, 4315 weight class) and Mister Poodle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wong comes into the arena with Turn It Up blaring out of the sound system. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poodle throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Wong.
It looked like Wong was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Poodle tries to counter with a clinch but Wong shakes him off and moves away.
A slapping leg kick lands for Wong.
Wong keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Wong pivots, looking for a leg kick but Poodle is out of range and Wong settles back down.

and Poodle counters with a shoot takedown. Wong fights it but they end up in guard.
Poodle keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Wong's head.
Poodle has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Wong could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Poodle changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Wong looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Wong bucks up and tries to throw Poodle off but instead Poodle has got his back!
You can see the frustration on Wong's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

What can Wong do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
