Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nero Hardy (ranked 3978 p4p, 4409 weight class) and Macka Briggs (ranked 527 p4p, 558 weight class). Briggs has chosen Stepping Razor by Peter Tosh as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Nero Hardy could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Macka Briggs's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Hardy misses.
It seemed like Briggs was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Briggs connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Briggs lands a jab to the head.
Briggs lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Hardy backs up against the ropes.
Briggs avoids the body shot from Hardy.
Hardy displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Briggs throws out the jab.

Briggs has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Briggs throws an overhand right that lands on Hardy's shoulder, as Hardy tries to avoid the shot.
Hardy looks to land a left hand but Briggs moved out of range nicely.
Hardy throws a jab but it's blocked by Briggs.

Hardy tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Hardy fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Hardy tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Briggs smiles and moves away.

Oooooh!!! Briggs has knocked Hardy down with a huge combo! Briggs steps away and waves a wobbly Hardy back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Nero Hardy has been cut.

Briggs lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hardy circles away quickly and effectively.

Briggs shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Briggs wants to stand but Hardy has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Briggs must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Briggs is sitting in close to Hardy's body. Hardy has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Briggs is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Briggs is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Hardy.
