The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Funches on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Tactics throws a half hearted mid kick.

The fighters circle momentarily. Funches darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Tactics gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Funches is taking a breather. Tactics says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Funches has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tactics can do anything to dispel that myth.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Funches cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Funches is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Tactics can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Funches is landing with some decent strikes but Tactics is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Tactics is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Funches has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Tactics is looking to defend but Funches has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Tactics! Funches pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Tactics taps out and this one is all over!

After the fight, Ron Funches was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
