Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Balis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Foster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Balis comes to the cage accompanied by Still Unbroken. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Balis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Foster!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Foster has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Balis avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Balis wants to get back to striking at distance but Foster won't allow it.

Foster fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Balis sprawls well initially but Foster persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Foster looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Balis with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Balis has hold of Foster's hands but Foster slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Balis on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Foster chips away with some ground and pound.
Foster lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Foster lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Foster cracks Balis with a solid left hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Balis wants to sweep but no luck.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Foster looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Balis with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Balis lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

so Foster counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Foster distracts Balis with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
