The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Der Ley misses with a double jab.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Berlusconi.
Van Der Ley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Der Ley throws a nice looking combination but Berlusconi bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Berlusconi working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Der Ley has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Berlusconi is stalling here. Der Ley is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Berlusconi seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Der Ley has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Der Ley decides to stand up, so the ref orders Berlusconi to his feet.

Berlusconi is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Nice uppercut lands for Der Ley. That snapped Berlusconi's head back.
Berlusconi throws a low kick but it's checked well by Der Ley.
Der Ley throws a big counter combination but Berlusconi scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Der Ley shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Berlusconi shoots for a double leg takedown but Der Ley sprawls well. He's pushed Berlusconi's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Van Der Ley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alessandro Berlusconi.
Der Ley throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Berlusconi colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Der Ley as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Berlusconi is left battered and dazed whilst Der Ley and his camp cheer!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Van Der Ley!
