The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Glass and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trandel avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Trandel is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Trandel moves out of range of the strikes.
Cisse uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Trandel.

Trandel bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Trandel drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Cisse defends it well.

Cisse lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Cisse throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Trandel tries to clinch up.
We've been told by Cisse's head coaches at New York Public Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Trandel takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Cisse lands a slapping body shot.
Trandel tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Cisse swivels and escapes.
Cisse throwing a counter right hand but Trandel manages to avoid it.
Oooooh!!! Cisse has knocked Trandel down with a huge combo! Cisse steps away and waves a wobbly Trandel back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
It looks like Sovor Trandel has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cisse is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Trandel like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Trandel from another fist facial!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ousmane Cisse!
In his post fight interview, Ousmane Cisse started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
