The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shinnie throws a nice inside leg kick.
Babyara misses with a two punch combination.
Shinnie misses with an uppercut. Babyara saw that one coming.
Shinnie lands with a good body shot.
Babyara throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Shinnie takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Babyara counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Shinnie thinking.
Shinnie looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

It looks like Kevin Shinnie has been cut.
Shinnie closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Shinnie is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
Babyara comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Shinnie needs to keep his hands up - Babyara had a free shot at his head there.
Babyara connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Shinnie momentarily.

Shinnie looks to land a right hand but Babyara moved out of range.
Babyara rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Shinnie moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Babyara connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Shinnie misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Babyara.

Babyara keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Babyara cracks Shinnie on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Shinnie falls backwards against the cage. Babyara follows up with more strikes that drop Shinnie to his knees. Babyara keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Shinnie! This one is all over!

Francisco Babyara really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Helsinki Xtreme Fightwear logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
