The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palhares with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Kice to score with a decent uppercut.
Palhares looks for a takedown but Kice sprawls well.
Kice pivots, looking for a leg kick but Palhares is out of range and Kice settles back down.
Kice misses with the combination.
Palhares doesn't manage to clinch there - Kice circles away.
Kice throws a one two combo.
It looks like Lucio Palhares has been cut.
Kice goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A left and a right from Kice both land. Nice combination.
Kice darts in and clinches Palhares up against the cage.
Kice scores with a hook to the body.
Palhares avoids the elbow strike from Kice, against the cage.
Kice digs a right hand underneath Palhares's ribcage. Palhares let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Palhares is breathing heavily.
Kice breaks the clinch.
Kice tests Palhares's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Palhares is rocked!
Nice takedown defense from Kice. No joy for Palhares on that attempt.
Oh Palhares is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kice shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Palhares takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Kice sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Palhares bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
