PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Xander Montgomery (ranked 5774 p4p, 5978 weight class) and Darrell Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Montgomery has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montgomery throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Jones.
Jones defending well as Montgomery loads up on a big left hand.
Jones keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Montgomery is breathing heavily.
Montgomery lands a head kick. Jones smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Jones throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Jones looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Jones catches Montgomery napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Montgomery to the canvas!

It looks like Xander Montgomery has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jones working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

Montgomery is rocked!
Jones stands up over Montgomery, holding on to his feet. Jones throws the legs to one side and dives in with a huge shot that lands flush on the chin! Montgomery is out cold! Jones lands a couple more shots and the ref tackles him out of the way! What a brutal finish!

In his post fight interview, Darrell Jones started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
