PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Konrad Krippa (ranked 3940 p4p, 4243 weight class) and Zac Head (ranked 511 p4p, 535 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Konrad Krippa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Head or perhaps it was just good defense by Krippa, which made it look bad.
Head misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Konrad Krippa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zac Head.

Krippa sets himself, and Head steps forward looking for the clinch! Krippa avoids it this time.

Krippa changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Head tries to avoid it but Krippa manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Head to the ground. Head escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Head throws a nice looking combination but Krippa bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Head shoots for a double leg takedown but Krippa sprawls well. He's pushed Head's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Krippa takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Head fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Krippa, pushing him back against the cage.
Krippa is pressed up against the cage. Head has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Krippa down to the mat. Krippa avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Krippa dives in and grabs Head's left leg, looking for a takedown. Head pushes down on Krippa's head and hops out.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Head postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Head controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Krippa is looking to cinch up a triangle. Head throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Krippa's body to avoid the submission. Krippa has instead reached around Head's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Krippa arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
