Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Irish Power (ranked 1140 p4p, 1714 weight class) and Mono Loco (ranked 125 p4p, 175 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Irish Power!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mono Loco!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paul Aken and Paulsen Ambrosius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Power closes the distance and clinches.
Power misses with a hook from the clinch.
Power looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Power throws a head punch that misses.
Loco is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Power to keep the fight standing.
Loco looking to slow down the pace here.
Power lands a left hand that snaps the head of Loco backwards.
Power lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Loco gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Power kicks Loco off and gets back to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Loco looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
A little feinted left hand from Power on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Power stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Power wants it to stay on the feet.
Irish Power has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mono Loco.

Loco has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Loco there as he acknowledges the shot.

Loco shoots in looking for a takedown. Power tries to sprawl out of it but Loco keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Power manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Loco shoots in but no luck this time.
Power slaps away a takedown attempt from Loco, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Power misses with a looping left.
Loco has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Power.
Power misses with a low kick as Loco jumps back.
Loco's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Power connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Loco scrambles back to his feet.

Loco doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Power counters with a nice low kick that buckles Loco's knee momentarily.

Loco takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Power lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

It looks like Mono Loco has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Power tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Loco was well out of range. Poor timing from Power.

Power gets in close and instigates a clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Power fails to land.

Loco manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Power avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Power is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Alpha Brasil that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Loco not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Power trying to control the position from guard on top but Loco is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Loco controls Power momentarily but Power frees himself.

Loco keeping moving, preventing Power from controlling successfully.
Power is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Loco escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Power gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Power trying to control but Loco is working from the bottom.

Power gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Power stuffs the takedown attempt from Loco. Loco gets slowly back to his feet.
Power fails to land with a series of punches.
Power connects with a jab.
Loco shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Power makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Power fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Loco manages to avoid it.
Loco feints the counter takedown.
Loco circles away from the clinch attempt.
Power cracks Loco with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Loco tries to move into range but Power moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Loco takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Power is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

Power moves into the clinch.
Power works on Loco's body with a couple of short punches.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Irish Power dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Mono Loco's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Power tries to land a front kick but Loco steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
A combination from Power does no damage.
Power lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Loco dives in for a single leg takedown but Power sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Loco shoots in looking for a takedown. Power tries to sprawl out of it but Loco keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Power manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Loco takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Irish Power has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mono Loco.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Power is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Loco can do to turn this around?

Loco shoots in and drives through. Power sprawls well.
Loco walks into a straight right hand from Power.
Power scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Loco doesn't seem bothered though.
Power defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Loco.
Power was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Power changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Loco is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Power drives through and clinches with Loco against the cage.
Loco throws an elbow that misses.
Loco drops down looking for an ankle pick but Power pulls his leg out and moves away.

and Power counters with a nice right hand that sends Loco toppling to the canvas! Loco scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Power finish him?!

Power circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Loco to the canvas! Loco doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Power keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
