The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Abernethy misses the target.
Abernethy tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Wray paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Abernethy tries to score with a low kick but Wray moves his leg out of the way.
Abernethy will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Abernethy tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Wray moves away from the strike by Abernethy.
Abernethy tries to clinch but Wray moves out of range.
Abernethy rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Wray moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Abernethy does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Abernethy has closed the distance and engaged Wray in a clinch.

Wray is trying to drag Abernethy to the mat but Abernethy just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
