Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tolby Tovington (ranked 2195 p4p, 24449 weight class) and Tayaen Porfirigo (ranked 305 p4p, 676 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Tayaen Porfirigo was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tovington lands a nice shot that snaps Porfirigo's head back.
Tovington connects with a single shot there.
Porfirigo has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
A jab from Tovington does it's job there.

Porfirigo is rocked!
A looping hook to the body misses from Tovington. Porfirigo does a little dance to reset his feet.
Porfirigo takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Porfirigo tries to move into range but Tovington moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Porfirigo is still on wobbly legs! Can Tovington finish him?
Tolby Tovington seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Porfirigo takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tovington throws a jab when Porfirigo was well out of range.
Despite the aggression on Porfirigo's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Porfirigo seems to have recovered his senses.

Tovington throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Tovington lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Nice combo by Tovington! Oh, that's hurt him - Porfirigo falls to the canvas and Tovington follows him into side control.
Tovington tries to score with some ground and pound. Porfirigo controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Porfirigo is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Porfirigo is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Porfirigo is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Porfirigo wants to stand and escape but Tovington is having none of it.
Tovington knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Porfirigo on the ground.
Porfirigo trying to keep a closed guard but Tovington is proving a slippery customer.

Tovington got a little sloppy there for a moment and Porfirigo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tovington has managed to get both his arms back between Porfirigo's legs - danger averted.
Porfirigo has momentary wrist control but Tovington slips an elbow through the middle.

Tovington stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Porfirigo has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Tovington manages to get his head free but now Porfirigo has transitioned to an armbar! Tovington grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Porfirigo! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!

Tayaen Porfirigo decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
