PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ultimate Warrior (ranked 3587 p4p, 3786 weight class) and Jacques Turcotte (ranked 417 p4p, 434 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Warrior avoids the body shot from Turcotte.
Warrior tries to counter by clinching up but Turcotte breaks away and moves out of range.
Turcotte lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Warrior circles away quickly and effectively.
Warrior staying out of range there.
Good standup being displayed there by Turcotte as he connects with a hook.
Turcotte circles away from the clinch attempt.
Turcotte keeps the fight on the outside.
Turcotte wants to counter with a clinch but Warrior pushes him away.

Warrior feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Warrior thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Warrior drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Warrior jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Warrior is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Turcotte is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Turcotte has escaped and now he's on top!

Warrior looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Warrior seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Warrior throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Turcotte escapes and throws Warrior's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Turcotte gets to mount! Warrior was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Turcotte wants to control the pace but Warrior is squirming around nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Warrior is wriggling around trying to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Warrior is working hard here to advance position.
Warrior is squirming around, avoiding Turcotte's attempts to control the action.

Warrior isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Turcotte stacks Warrior on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Turcotte!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Turcotte lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Turcotte throws a body punch but Warrior moves out of range.
Turcotte misses with a straight left.
Warrior was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Turcotte lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Warrior moves out of range as Turcotte strikes.
Warrior walks into a jab.
Turcotte throws out a loose jab but Warrior uses good head movement to avoid it.
Warrior slips under a jab.
Warrior connects with a body shot that sends Turcotte's belly button to the back.
Warrior slips a jab from Turcotte.
Turcotte drops Warrior with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Warrior! Turcotte dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
