And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cordell Walker!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker swings and misses with a shot to the body

and Stevenson counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Stevenson.
Walker is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Stevenson has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Walker regains guard immediately.
Walker is trying to keep Stevenson in close.
Stevenson is stalling in the full guard.

Stevenson gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stevenson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Walker tries to clinch but Stevenson is having none of it.

Walker throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Stevenson's waist but Stevenson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Walker off to one side.

Stevenson has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Walker clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Stevenson keeps control of the position easily here as Walker tries to buck him off.
Walker tries to escape but Stevenson has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A bit of a pause in the action here. Stevenson controlling the positon.
Stevenson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Walker turns into Stevenson and is now in his guard.
Walker prevents Stevenson from getting back to his feet.
Walker trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Stevenson tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Stevenson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Walker is aware though and is defending well.
Walker wants to control from the top but Stevenson keeps moving.

Stevenson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Walker defends well.

Stevenson throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Walker escapes and throws Stevenson's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Stevenson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Stevenson keeps Walker under control for a moment.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Walker jumps guard but Stevenson stands there with Walker around his waist. Walker gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Stevenson pulls Walker in close to his closed guard and prevents Walker from doing any damage or advancing position.

Stevenson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Stevenson throws a big counter combination but Walker scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
