Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kayne Watson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Hobbs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hobbs is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Hell's Bells - ACDC. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watson blocks a head kick by Hobbs.

Hobbs gets caught flat footed, as Watson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Watson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Hobbs is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Watson wants to control but Hobbs is keeping him busy.

Watson wants to work for an arm triangle but Hobbs is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hobbs can do anything to dispel that myth.
Hobbs wants to improve his position but Watson is controlling well.
Watson blocks the strikes from Hobbs.
Watson is stalling here. Hobbs is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Watson seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Hobbs has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Hobbs cracks Watson with a big right hand but Watson just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Hobbs lands a nice forearm strike.
Watson is looking to reverse the position.
Hobbs works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Hobbs stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Hobbs drives through and clinches with Watson against the cage.

Hobbs is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Watson can't fight it off and eventually Hobbs manages to take the fight to the floor. Watson looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Hobbs stands up over Watson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Watson is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Watson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hobbs can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Watson has momentary wrist control but Hobbs slips an elbow through the middle.

Watson is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Hobbs scores with a couple of nice shots.
Hobbs wants to lay and pray for a moment but Watson keeps working.

Watson is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Hobbs pulls his head out easily.
Hobbs passes the guard and advances to mount!

Watson keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Hobbs fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
BOOM! Hobbs connects with a massive shot to the dome!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Watson is rocked!

Oh Watson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hobbs has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hobbs loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Watson scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Hobbs land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Hobbs stands and salutes the crowd.
