Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jon Silver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Granite Milosevic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jon Silver has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Silver.
Silver throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Milosevic's waist but Milosevic gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Silver off to one side.
Milosevic shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Silver counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Silver.
Milosevic wants to sweep but no luck.
Milosevic looking to control.

Silver trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Milosevic wants to stand but Silver is controlling the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Milosevic tries to keep at a distance but Silver has taken the fight into the clinch.

Silver is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Milosevic gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jon Silver. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Silver lands a nice knee to the body.

Silver is fighting off a takedown attempt but Milosevic is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Silver to the mat. Silver regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Silver wants to sweep but no luck.

Milosevic drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Milosevic jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Silver wants to stand up but Milosevic is controlling him.

Milosevic decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Silver, up you get!

Silver shoots and misses

and Milosevic counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Silver controls Milosevic momentarily but Milosevic frees himself.

Milosevic drops back, looking for a kneebar! Silver looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Silver looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Silver!

Silver tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Silver has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Milosevic tries to buck Silver off but Silver is having none of it.
Milosevic sneaks back into half guard.
Milosevic is pressing down on Silver's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Silver avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Milosevic wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Silver is now in half guard.

Silver not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Milosevic gets back to full guard.
Milosevic wants to sweep but no luck.
Milosevic is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Silver tries to roll over but Milosevic keeps him under control.
Silver has hold of Milosevic's hands but Milosevic slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Silver is defending against the submission attempts here by Milosevic.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Silver is refusing to be controlled, as Milosevic sits in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Granite Milosevic will probably get the nod.
That's time! Silver's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Milosevic has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Silver's face.
Silver can't escape the position.
Granite Milosevic has got the better of the ground game so far.
Milosevic cracks Silver with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Milosevic lands a big elbow.
