Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mister Kitty (ranked 5427 p4p, 5017 weight class) and Kento Killa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mister Kitty!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kento Killa!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Roger Salmon and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Killa shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kitty but Kitty pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Killa misses with a series of wild punches.

Kitty gets a clinch.
Kitty blocks a punch to the side of the head.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Killa.

Kitty breaks the clinch.
Kitty moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

It looks like Kento Killa has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Killa tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kitty paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Kitty moves into range and clinches up with Killa.
A head punch on the inside from Killa fails to land.
Killa misses with a hook from the clinch.

Kitty breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Kitty clobbers Killa with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Kitty fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Killa, pushing him back against the cage.

Killa swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Kitty fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Killa to the ground. Kitty is now in Killa's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Killa manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kitty manages to get himself to full guard.

Kitty has a closed guard, preventing Killa from standing up.

Killa drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kitty manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Killa has Kitty in his guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Killa striking off his back but it's not causing Kitty any problems.
Kitty won't allow Killa to sweep him here.

Kitty throws a strike but Killa rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Killa works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Killa seems to be working for a kimura but Kitty defends the submission attempt.
Kitty trying to control from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Killa trying to control from half guard but Kitty is working away.

Killa seems to be looking for submissions.
Killa wants to pass the guard but Kitty is defending well.

Kitty tries to get to full guard but Killa has control of the leg.
Killa missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

Killa is looking for a kimura but Kitty is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Killa to get the leverage.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Killa doesn't manage to clinch there - Kitty circles away.
Killa throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Kitty clinches up with Killa and pushes him back against the cage.

Killa swings wildly with an uppercut but Kitty uses good head movement to avoid it.
Kitty is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Killa can do to turn this around?

Kitty's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Kitty is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Killa is aware though and is defending well.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Killa sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Killa strikes from the bottom but Kitty passes into mount!
Killa can't escape the position.
Kitty takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Killa sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Killa tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Kitty trying to control the position from guard on top but Killa is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kitty landing some decent shots from guard.
Killa is striking from the bottom but Kitty uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.
Killa has hold of Kitty's hands but Kitty slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Kitty thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Killa has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Killa wants to improve his position but Kitty is controlling well.

Kitty throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Killa is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Kitty stops Killa from getting back to his feet.
Kitty not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Killa tries to get to full guard but Kitty has control of the leg.
Kitty is keen to just control but Killa is a slippery customer.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

so Kitty counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Kitty's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Killa shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kitty pinned against the cage. Kitty gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Kitty misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Kitty darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Kitty trying to control the action but Killa is working from the bottom.

Killa is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Killa is striking from the bottom but he's now found himself mounted! Oh dear - not enough focus on defense there.

Kitty knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Killa on the ground.

Kitty stands up from Killa's guard - Kitty perhaps looking for a knockout.

Kitty drives through and clinches with Killa against the cage.

Kitty's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Kitty is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Killa's half guard.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Killa thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Kento Killa has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Well Kitty has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
