Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Hells No!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Peter Branson and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

No scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
No is looking to take a break and control but Russell is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Russell stops No from passing to mount.
You can see the frustration on Russell's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Russell tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
Russell tries to lock up and control but No gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Russell tries to reverse the position but No maintains control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Russell tries to hold on but No postures up.
No controlling the pace for now.
Russell really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
No wants to take Russell's back but he can't do it this time.
No looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
No can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Russell is looking to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

No jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Russell is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Russell and No has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Russell is looking to reverse the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

No wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Russell, who protects the arm well.
Russell tries to bench press No off him but No keeps the position.
You can see the frustration on Russell's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Russell is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but No is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Russell is wriggling around trying to escape.
No controlling the position easily from mount.
No looking to control but Russell is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
No prevents Russell from getting the reversal.
Russell tries to lock up and control but No gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

No looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Russell tries to hold on but No postures up.
No takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Russell sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

Russell is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but No pulls his head out easily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Russell looking for submissions off his back.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Hells No dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


No closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Russell to the mat! Russell manages to get full guard.

Russell is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and No defends well.
Hells No has got the better of the ground game so far.

Russell is looking for a triangle but No pushes his legs off easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Russell throws his legs up looking for a submission but No uses it to pass to side control.
No wants to control but Russell is keeping him busy.
Russell can't do much from the bottom here.

No tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no No has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Russell wants to control but No postures up.
No has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Russell!
No wants to control the pace but Russell is squirming around nicely.
Russell tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Russell is working hard here to advance position.
Russell is squirming around, avoiding No's attempts to control the action.

Russell wants to hold on but No pushes him away.
No sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Russell is desperately trying to improve his position but No has a good base and remains in mount.
Russell tries to control the position but No now has his back.

Russell showing good submission defense here.
Russell prevents No from getting a body triangle.
No keeps control of the position as Russell tries to break free.
No trying to control momentarily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Russell rolls, trying to escape but No keeps control of the position.

Russell defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of No's arms.
No wants to control but Russell is keeping busy.
Russell tries to break free.

No has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
Will No go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

No avoiding Russell 's attempts to control his hands.
I really don't envy Russell right now.

Hells No showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

No looks to score with a jab to the body but Russell is just out of range.
Russell swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Russell looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Hells No seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Excellent takedown into side control there by No.
Russell is holding No down, trying to stall.
Russell manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
No is refusing to be controlled, as Russell sits in half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Russell is looking for a kimura but No is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Russell to get the leverage.

Russell maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! No could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Russell has cracked it and No is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Russell!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). George Russell!
George Russell tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
